Kukilakila - Kukilakila is a newer development in Kailua, off of Keolu Drive, on the Northwest side (Mauka side) of the loop. Townhomes in this complex were are part of a PUD (Planned Urban Development) built in 1973-74 and many have great views of Kaelepulu Pond (aka Enchanted Lake), where it is located. It is also in the Kaelepulu Elementary School District which has the reputation of being the top school district in Kailua.

Fee simple properties range from about $550K to $800K, depending upon size and other features. Units typically come in 3 sizes: 931 sq ft (2/1 or 2), 1380 sq ft (3/2), and 1625 sq ft (3 or 4/2 or 3), though I have also seen lanais enclosed to add square footage.
